Bentley SUV in the 2013 Dakar Rally
Bentley are planning to enter their new SUV – the EXP 9F Concept – in the Dakar Rally in 2013. Sort of. It’s a tried and tested route for the VW Group to go with SUV’s : Enter them in to a gruelling rally to prove their capabilities and enhance their sale prospects.
They took with them the usual holiday toys, but they remembered to pack a nice new Jaguar XFR, with a few mods necessary to run at Bonneville (roll cage, fire extinguishers, etc). They had a little fiddle with the ECU to derestrict it (and yield 600bhp) but, it is claimed, made no further mods apart from adding a spoiler at the back to stop the XFR taking off on the Salt Flats’ wide open spaces. Peugeot has revealed a facelift for the 107, with new exterior styling, increased specification and reduced Co2.
The Peugeot 107 is a fun little city car, as we discovered when we reviewed the Peugeot 107 in 2010, but it’s now getting towards the end of its life, with an all new car due in 2013. But to keep things fresh Peugeot has revealed a facelift for the 107 for 2012 to keep it selling through to the end of its life. That means a new nose, better interior and improved emissions and economy.
